Students who study in Japan will mainly study in higher education institutions, including universities (research institutes), universities, short-term universities, specialized schools and specialized schools (most elective Japanese or specialized courses). At present, there are also universities in Japan (namely, 4 to 6) to accept middle school students to study abroad. Before going to Japan to study abroad, you must first consider your further study plan, choose different educational institutions and make overseas study plans according to your learning ability, economic ability and future development direction. The number of foreign students studying in Japan after graduation has been increasing in recent years.

Study abroad

Study abroad type: Learn Japanese

Study abroad purpose: to study in Japanese educational institutions or private universities, etc

Study abroad period: half a half years to two years

Study Abroad type: short-term study abroad

Study abroad purpose: will not obtain a degree. For example, university exchange students between Hong Kong and Japan, project research, summer classes or short-term training, etc

Study abroad type: long-term study abroad

Study abroad purpose: to obtain the degree and professional qualifications, or to conduct long-term research. Such as the university college, university, short-term university, specialized schools, specialized schools of higher courses and high schools

Study abroad period: at least one year

In principle, all courses will be taught in Japanese, but many key universities also offer English-taught degree and research courses, requiring only primary Japanese courses, many of which are science courses. Japanese schools will basically open in April, and English courses and some Japanese or specialized schools will open from September to October. Some schools even offer short courses, or may apply for placement.

Students who want to apply for universities and specialized schools need to take the "Study in Japan Test" (EJU), and those who want to assess their Japanese proficiency need to apply for the "Japanese Language Proficiency Test Test" (JLPT). At present, there are several educational institutions in Hong Kong, including the Japanese Cultural Association in Hong Kong, providing full-day or half-day intensive courses for EJU, so that students can reach the JLPT N2 level within six months.

examination:EJU

Date: In June and late November of each year

Date of issuance: August and early January of the following year

examination:JLPT

Hong Kong student admission qualification

Must have 12 years of formal education, or middle school six graduates; or

In more than a dozen Japanese institutions designated by the Japanese government, the Ministry of the Ministry of Education and Science

If apply for higher education institutions, basically need to have JLPT 1 to 2 or EJU Japanese volume of 200 Japanese level

Note: Some specialized schools may require JLPT 3 Japanese; English courses require TOFEL iBT 70 to 80 or IELTS 5.5 to 6.0, not Japanese. Study abroad university is to study Japanese for one year or above.

Admission application process

Request the brochures and admission application forms from the schools concerned

For universities and colleges with the "admission permit" system (no need to apply for Japan), applicants only need to apply for EJU. If the scores meet the level of the students of the university, the university will send special personnel to Hong Kong or conduct online interviews

Without the "admission permit" system, the registration form of the university shall be sent to the university together with the registration fee (draft draft) and the required documents for examination. Requirements may vary, and the selection procedures vary. Please check the school directly for details

After passing the document examination, the school will pay the tuition fee and complete the admission procedures

pour:

Generally, Japanese courses opened in April are registered from September to November of the previous year, and October are registered in February to April. Higher education institutions, such as universities usually sign up from August to October

Consider receiving and preparing documents, mailing time, etc., and must reserve six to nine months for preparation

Japanese schools can apply and visa procedures through the agency, but pay attention to the school category, courses, fees and refund arrangements, etc

Visa application

Students studying in higher education institutions must be middle six graduates, and must submit their middle school diploma and high school scores when applying for a visa (DSE scores are relatively unimportant). The study visa is valid for one year, which can be extended in Japan by Japanese schools to two years at most, once a year and for individual approval depending on the actual situation of the applicant. The documents required for the visa are roughly the same as the application school, including the admission permit, the destination plan, etc. Usually, the university will apply on behalf of it. If the university does not do it, students will have to find another agent on the day.

Although Japan has recently relaxed the number of foreigners entering the country every day, Japanese schools still have to apply to the government's entry authority, so they need to directly ask the university or school to check whether they can arrange it. In a word, the visa application to study in Japan is basically still far from returning to the previous state.

In addition, applying for the scholarship of the Director of the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong is the exact way to obtain a study visa to study in Japan.

Note: I believe that the Japanese government will continue to relax the restrictions on the issuance of study visas. Please continue to pay close attention to the release on the website of the Japanese Consulate General.

Tuition and living expenses

Based on the different course and personal life requirements, the average annual expenditure of tuition and living expenses is about HK $120,000 to HK $155,000. You can work part-time during the stay period, but you must apply to the State Authority for a "permit for external qualification activities", which can only take part-time jobs in non-weathered industries within the prescribed time limit. The procedures for studying in Japan have been simplified to apply for permission and equivalent id card in real time when entering China at major international airports.
