1. Innovator Visa


On March 29, 2019, the British Home Office launched the "Innovator Visa (INNOVATOR)", replacing the original Entrepreneur Visa”. The "Innovator Visa" is suitable for people with innovative ideas who plan to start business in the UK. Their business plans must be groundbreaking, executable and scalable. The applicant's business plan must obtain the assessment endorsement from the Home Office's designated assessment agency and invest no less than £50,000 in business development. The "Innovator Visa" is initially valid for 3 years. Before the visa expires, you can apply for a visa extension in the UK (can be extended multiple times) or directly apply for permanent residence, provided that you meet the corresponding conditions.


Application requirements
  • Age 18 or above
  • Business plan evaluated and endorsed by a designated organization
  • An investment of not less than 50,000 pounds
  • Meet the English language requirements (CEFRB level 2), or have an undergraduate degree or above from a British school, or an English-taught degree issued by a school in other countries Bachelor's degree or above (subject to ECCTIS certification)
  • The applicant has a cash deposit of no less than 1,270 pounds and has deposited it in the bank for 28 consecutive days. If your partner and children apply for accompanying visa at the same time, the deposit amount needs to be based on £1,270, plus £285 (partner) and £315 (1 child). 2. Global Talent Visa


In order to attract outstanding talents from all over the world to work and settle in the UK, the British government launched the "GLOBALTALENT" (hereinafter referred to as GT) in February 2020. People with outstanding talents who want to work in the UK in the fields of culture and art, architecture, fashion design, film and television, digital technology, science, engineering, humanities and medicine can apply for GT. Applicants are judged by a body appointed by the UK Home Office as to whether they have the qualifications to be considered outstanding: current (or potential) leaders in their field of expertise.

GT application is divided into two parts: qualification certification and visa application (entry and residence permit), which can be applied in sequence or at the same time. If the applicant has won a major international award, the qualification verification step can be waived and the visa application can be made directly.

According to the applicant's wishes and meeting relevant conditions, a single GT application can be approved for a visa with a validity period of up to 5 years. After expiration, an extension can be applied (if relevant conditions are met). Holding a GT visa After living in the UK for 3 or 5 years, you can apply for permanent residence (permanent residence). The applicant’s accompanying family members can also apply for entry/residence permit, visa, and ultimately permanent residence. 


Application conditions

① For the qualification assessment part, applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • The evaluation agency designated by the Immigration Bureau and corresponding to the applicant's professional field will evaluate the applicant's qualifications. The evaluation results meet the GT requirements
  • The applicant's professional field must be within the following scopes: culture and art, Architecture, fashion design, film and television, digital technology, science, engineering, humanities and medicine

②For the visa application part, applicants need to meet/provide the following conditions:

  • Visa application fees and health insurance premiums have been paid
  • Age 18 or above
  • Identity documents (passport or other documents that can prove identity and nationality) and biometric testing ( If required)
  • The evaluation report issued by the designated evaluation agency must be dated within 3 months before the visa application date, and the evaluation report or major international awards received by the applicant have not been withdrawn
  • < li>If the applicant has received a scholarship from the government or an international organization 12 months before application (which can cover all tuition fees and living expenses in the UK), an official certificate must be provided

Application Procedure
  1. Applicants who meet all the requirements of the "Basic Qualifications" under the Points System apply
  2. Choose the "Comprehensive Points System" or Students will be evaluated using the "Achievement Points System". The "Comprehensive Points System" has five scoring categories, while the "Achievement Points System" has one scoring category. The "Comprehensive Points System" has a minimum passing score. Applicants who choose to obtain points through the "Comprehensive Points System" should first evaluate whether their personal qualifications have reached the minimum passing score before submitting their application.
  3. The selection process will be conducted regularly to allocate places to applicants. In each selection process, after ranking according to the total score, applications with higher scores will be selected for further evaluation. The Director of Immigration (hereinafter referred to as the "Director of Immigration") may seek the advice of an advisory committee on how to assess, score and allocate places under this scheme. Applicants with higher scores may not be allocated a spot. The results of each selection will be announced on the Immigration Department’s website. As the selection process takes time, the applicant may consider his application to be in process unless the Immigration Department issues a notice of rejection to the applicant concerned
  4. Applicants who are allocated quotas in the selection process are approved in principle The applicant will be issued a "Notice of Approval in Principle". After receiving the letter, the applicant must come to Hong Kong in person to attend the interview and present the originals of all documents submitted during the application period for verification by the Immigration Department. Applicants can come to Hong Kong as visitors to attend the above interviews. The issuance of a "Notice of Approval in Principle" does not automatically guarantee that the applicant will eventually be allowed to enter or stay in Hong Kong under this scheme.
  5. After all documents have been verified and all relevant application procedures have been completed, the approved applicant can be issued an entry visa/entry permit to stay in Hong Kong under this program


3. Skilled work visa


From January 1, 2021, all foreigners who want to work in the UK All citizens must apply for a "SKILLED WORKER VISA (hereinafter referred to as SWV)". Only after being approved can they enter the UK and work legally in the UK. This visa allows you to apply for permanent residence in the UK (hereinafter referred to as "Permanent Residence") after meeting the conditions.

SWV is scored according to a specific scoring system (POINT-BASED SYSTEM). Applicants must obtain 70 points (and above), and at the same time obtain a British company (must hold a "Sponsor Permit SPONSOR" issued by the Immigration Bureau) LICENSE”) job position can be finally approved.

Whether the SWV is approved depends entirely on the applicant's personal situation and the degree of matching with the employed job position. After the SWV holder has legally lived in the UK for five years, the holder can submit an application for permanent residence.


Application conditions


①Applicants must meet the following conditions:

  • Have obtained a job position in the designated occupation list that meets the SWV application conditions
  • The job position must be a "vacant position" and the applicant must have the necessary qualifications for the position Work experience and ability

  • No criminal record
  • Pass tuberculosis test


② British employers need to meet the following conditions:

  • The skills required for the position provided must be Reach RQF level 3 (roughly equivalent to A-Level)
  • Possess a valid "guarantee license", which must be issued within 3 months before the applicant submits the SWV application

Remarks:

  • Applicants whose nationalities are from the following regions do not need proof of English proficiency: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada , Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United States
  • The minimum salary to qualify for SWV is £20,480 per year. As of November 2021, the minimum wage is the highest of the following 3 options: £25,600 per year, £10.10 per hour, or the prevailing wage in the applicant’s position
  • SWV is valid for up to 5 years
  • If the job position is in shortage in the UK (in the SOL list), the minimum wage requirement can be reduced
  • If the visa expires or the employer needs to be changed, you need to apply for a visa extension or renew the visa< /li>
  • After holding SWV for 5 years, you can apply for permanent residence


4. Isle of Man-Overseas Business Visa


The original British "REPRESENTATIVEOF OVERSEAS BUSINESS" (hereinafter referred to as ROB) has stopped processing on April 11, 2022. New related applications can only be transferred into the "Global Business Mobility Visa" category (non-immigrant visa), but the ROB in the Isle of Man continues to accept applications.

The Isle of Man ROB is suitable for companies outside the Isle of Man that wish to send senior employees to set up branches or subsidiaries in the British Isle of Man to conduct overseas business.


There are two types of ROB:


①Plan Overseas enterprises that have established branches or wholly-owned subsidiaries in the Isle of Man;

② Employees of foreign newspapers, news agencies or broadcasting organizations who are sent to the Isle of Man for a long period of time. Both visas are valid for three years and can be extended by two years upon expiration. After holding ROB for a total of 5 years, you can apply for permanent residence (hereinafter referred to as "Permanent Residence").


Application requirements

The first commercial entity planning to establish overseas business in the Isle of Man, either a branch or a wholly-owned subsidiary.

  • Be employed by the parent company (must be outside the Isle of Man), and the parent company continues to operate overseas
  • Before applying for the Isle of Man chief representative visa, the applicant needs to Hold a senior position in the parent company (non-controlling shareholder), be assigned to the Isle of Man branch/subsidiary as the person in charge, and have the right to make business decisions on the branch/subsidiary on behalf of the parent company
  • Applicants need to Have the relevant experience and skills to serve as the person in charge of the branch/subsidiary
  • Have sufficient self-owned funds to maintain the life of the applicant and accompanying family members in the Isle of Man
  • Sufficient English language requirements (CEFR A1 level)


5. High Potential Talent Visa



The British Home Office has recently launched the "High Potential Talent Visa" (HPI for short), which allows qualified people who have graduated from the world's top universities to live and work in the UK. The "High Potential Talent Visa" will begin accepting applications on May 30, 2022. This visa can be applied for without having to obtain a job in the UK in advance, i.e. without employer sponsorship. After the visa is approved, the applicant can obtain a work visa valid for 2-3 years. This visa cannot be renewed after expiration, and this visa category cannot apply for British permanent residence (permanent residence/green card). Before the expiration of this visa, the applicant can convert to other long-term work visas (meeting the visa requirements of the corresponding category) and finally complete the permanent residence application.


Application requirements
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have obtained the certificate within the past 5 years (based on the date of application) Overseas degree-level qualifications that meet or exceed British bachelor's degree accreditation standards
