(AFP, Edinburgh, Texas, June 19th) - -Former US President Donald Trump (Donald Trump) returned the 2024 presidential election to the US border with Mexico to try to double down on his hard-line immigration policy. Such policies have shaped Trump's presidency.

In recent weeks, Trump's campaign comments have been extreme, saying that immigrants without legal documents are "poisoning the blood of our country" and calling his political enemies "pests."

Trump plans to visit the border between Texas and Mexico today, where Texas Governor (Greg Abbott), who also advocates hard-line immigration measures, will travel together.

The Texas Legislature recently passed a bill that makes Texas is a crime punishable by up to two years and the person refusing to leave the United States for up to 20 years.

The bill allows Texas police officers to arrest anyone they believe are in Texas but do not have the proper credentials, and critics say that power will surely be abused.

Ayport signed the bill, making it a law.

Mr Trump's election campaign has shown that if the property tycoon is re-elected, he will pursue a strict crackdown on undocumented immigration, reportedly including large detention camps and mass deportation.

Looking at the 2024 election, Texas is a reliable conservative stronghold of Trump, and he is now well ahead of Republican rivals in Texas and the country.
